Preparation

A few simple steps help ensure a smooth draw: (1) Stay well-hydrated the day before — this makes veins easier to find. (2) Avoid caffeine and alcohol if instructed. (3) Wear a short-sleeve or loose-sleeved top for easy arm access. (4) Have your doctor's lab order or requisition ready. (5) Have a snack ready to eat afterward if you're fasting.

Please have the following ready: your photo ID, your insurance card (if billing insurance), and your doctor's lab order or requisition form. If you have a preferred arm or have had difficult draws in the past, just let us know when we arrive — we'll take note and work with you.

Billing

Our service fee varies depending on location, number of draws, and the type of service (individual or facility). The lab testing cost is separate and billed through the lab (subject to your insurance). Contact us for a specific quote — we're transparent about pricing and will give you a clear answer before you book.

Results & Process

Results are sent directly to the ordering physician or lab portal specified on your requisition.

Most appointments take 10–20 minutes from the time our phlebotomist arrives. This includes paperwork review, the draw itself, and proper labeling and packaging of specimens. For facility visits with multiple patients, we schedule accordingly to ensure efficiency for everyone.

We collect specimens for specialty labs including Boston Heart, Vibrant America, SpectraCell, MRT, IGeneX, Unity, Myriad, and more. We also offer local drop-off at LabCorp and Quest in select areas — see our Service Areas page for details. Let us know your lab when booking and we'll confirm.

Safety & Privacy

Absolutely. All phlebotomists at VeAr Mobile Phlebotomy are certified, background-checked, and carry proper identification. They arrive with a professional kit and follow strict infection control protocols. All equipment used is sterile and single-use — nothing is reused between patients. You can always call ahead to confirm your phlebotomist's details.

Your personal health information is never shared without your consent (except as required for processing your lab work). Our phlebotomists are trained on patient privacy and we use secure processes for all documentation and specimen handling.
